CAMERATA YOUTH
ORCHESTRA
About Us
Founded in 2012, the Camerata Youth Orchestra (CYO) highlights the talents of young musicians from the New York Metropolitan area. Led by Byung-Hyun Rhee, Music Director of Camerata New Jersey, CYO focuses on middle and high school students, using music to promote activism and bring joy to individuals with disabilities.

CYO participates in community events like the Fort Lee Fringe Fest and Arts Festival, and gained international recognition with performances at the Heidelberg Castle and Baden-Baden Summer Festivals in 2017. Since 2013, members can earn the Presidential Volunteer Service Award for over 50 hours of community involvement.

Designed for advanced musicians in grades 7-12, CYO fosters ensemble skills and artistic growth through a diverse repertoire. CYO combines musical excellence with social impact, shaping young musicians to make a difference locally and globally.
