Audition Requirements

• Eligibility:  Grades 7-12

• Piano accompaniment: NOT REQUIRED

1. A solo piece of your choice of equivalent difficulty to Mozart Concerto No. 3

2. Scales (major scales only)

   • 2 octaves: D, Eb, E, F

   • 3 octaves: G, Ab, A, Bb, C

3. Sight Reading

 

Viola

1. A solo piece of your choice of equivalent difficulty to Hoffmeister Concerto, Telemann Concerto or any movement from Bach Cello Suites

2. Scales (major scales only)

   • 2 octaves: G, Ab, A, Bb

   • 3 octaves: C, D, Eb, E, F

3. Sight Reading

 

Cello

1. A solo piece of your choice of equivalent difficulty to any concerto exposition or any movement from Bach Cello Suites

2. Scales (major scales only)

   • 2 octaves: G, Ab, A, Bb

   • 3 octaves: C, D, Eb, E, F

Double Bass

1. A solo piece of your choice
